[Just in case anybody is wondering about that small duck-like girl, she's been busy searching for someone. Since there's no video function to try to rely on, Duck has been running around everywhere to find Rue.]

Rue! Where are you Rue!

[And so at some point she might end up coming up to you and going...]

Excuse me! Have you seen a girl with long black, wavy hair and red eyes. She's extremely talented at dancing and very pretty.

[And when that fails, she's running around crazy, clearly worried and freaking out over her disappearence.]

Maybe... the Malnosso just took her for a little while...?

[ A girl running around is hard to miss, but it's not just any girl, is it- it's been a while since he's seen her in the bakery (given the lack of the usual one here), but Red can't forget the girl he had lunch with on his first day in Luceti.

He hasn't been spotted yet for questioning, but he's jogging up to her with a bag on one shoulder and Pikachu on the other. ]

Hey! What's up? Did you lose something?

[Oh! It was Red!

Sorry, Red. She's a little hysterical at this point. Nobody's seen Rue anywhere.]

Well.. more like someone. Have you seen a girl named Rue? She has long black hair and red eyes.

Umm. [ He thinks for a moment, looking over to Pikachu, but the pokémon shakes his head. ]

No. [ He shakes his head too. ] But can you tell me anything else about her? Where have you looked?

Well uhm... She's really pretty and has wavy hair. She's really good at dancing but she might seem a little distant....

[Or maybe... but she hadn't really seen Rue in that form here...]

Or maybe a girl with black hair in a bun and red eyes. She wears a black tutu and kind of resembles a crow. She might go by Princess Kraehe.

[That's probably making her other identity too obvious, but she's frantic. She has to find her.]

[ A black tutu...? ]

Would she've been wearing a tutu here? [ Actually- ] Does a tutu stand out?

This one... probably would.

I'm not totally sure if Kraehe would be around here, but if she is and I can find her, that would be just as helpful.

Then where do you think she'd be? We'll help if you need it, right Pikachu?

[ Pii! Yep! ]

I... I'm not sure... I lost track of the places I've already looked but.... I'm worried something bad has happened to her.

Hey, don't worry. She's only been missing today, right? Let's search the whole village. Would she go in the forest if she was feeling sad?

She might. I don't think I've checked there yet.

Then me and Pikachu will check out there! Pikachu can hop the trees quicker than it'll take us both doing it on foot.

[ The pokémon squeaks in agreement, and without being asked hops down onto the ground, turning to say he'll be right back and then rushes off towards forest. Well, then what should he do... ]

Okay, I'll go too. She probably didn't go far inside. [ And there's a few points she could've entered in from. He shrugs the straps on his shoulder, repositioning it, and gives her a determined smile. ] If you find her, let me know over the journal, okay? [ oh- ] Have you sent a message out with that yet?

Okay!

Oh uhm.. No. Not with this journal here. I noticed the video function is no longer there...

[Which is a shame because.... video would have been so much easier to catch notice from others as well.]

People can still hear you! Just tell them you're looking for a girl with black hair and red eyes and you're worried about her, so if they've seen her they should tell you if she's okay!

[ He pats her on the shoulder, then takes a step away. ]

Alright?

That still works? [There's a slight pause before she nods.] Okay! I'll do that. I'll be sure to keep in touch if I find her.

You'll hear people still talking over the journals when you open it up! [ He's turning now, raising up a hand. ] See you later! See if you can send a message to her journal too!

[ If doing that still works in the past. ]

[She's already on it.]

[ He pulls at his smile some more, and then leaves to go and join Pikachu in searching around the proximity of the forest. There's more wild closer around the village in the past he's found, but hopefully Pikacu would have been able to help out if there's any trouble, at least enough to assist the girl in an escape if it's a worst possible scenario (but nobody wants that scenario). But the two end up bumping into each other fruitlessly, with the pokémon bringing nothing back but a shake of his head.

Still they continue looking around, asking people if they'd seen the girl and Red keeping an eye on his journal as well... ]

[And just like Red, Duck doesn't seem to have much luck on her side. She'd checked every store that was around to see if anyone had an idea. She'd also tried knocking on people's homes to see if maybe somebody would know her. And after every 'sorry, I don't know her/haven't seen her' she recieved, she couldn't help but feel even more frantic.]

[ They take their search around the village too, edging along the outer area of the main clumps of buildings that he figures Duck or somebody else would have checked or been in the processing of checking out.

The farmlands get searched too; maybe she followed the paths to them, even if she didn't stick around. The time since they started looking increases more and more, and as Red keeps on walking aimlessly, feeling somewhat hopeless himself but not willing to give up for Duck, he starts hoping he'll hear something soon. Finding people was really tough, huh...

Wonder what a tutu looks like... ]

[And Duck's already sort of stopped. She hasn't heard anything on her journal yet and she can't find her anywhere. Nobody seems to know. Why did this have to happen while they were in the past? So sitting next to the waterside, she can be found hugging her knees as she tries to think of where she hasn't checked and where Red hadn't checked.

She really doesn't want to think that she's been mallynapped, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to find out that she had gone home instead.]

[ His feet are aching by the time he finds her. They had been for a while, and it doesn't bother him so much - he's used to it, an it's easier when he's no longer carrying a limp.

But it was a useless complaint going around in in his head until he spots her. He slows for a moment, and then forgets about his inner whining as he hurries over to her, Pikachu clinging onto his collar. ]

Hey. [ He doesn't know what to think has happened. Was her friend gone? Was it something else? He softens his voice, just in case. ] Anything?

[She doesn't really move or say anything right away. She finally shook her head.]

No. Nothing.

You?

Mmm... [ It's a negative sound, and Pikachu's ears have drooped at the sight of the girl. ]

Did you try her journal?

Yes.... Multiple times....

[Maybe she just had to face the facts and come to realize she was gone? She was still hoping she was just mallynapped and she'd come back soon, but even that wasn't a good situation.]

[ Well, that lightens up him a little. ]

If you got through it it, she has to be somewhere. [ If she was able to send anything to the journal, that meant something. He moves, taking a seat next to her but allowing her a space between them. ]

Did everything seem okay with her before?

I... didn't get a hold of her. I tried but... nothing happened.

[Sorry Red. She never said she actually got through to her.]

Oh...

[ And there goes that. He's silent for a good moment, as everything then simply - concludes in his head. He'd been in this position before, trying to get hold of a contact that just didn't exist anymore. And then, going over to his house...

He sits his hands together in his lap, looking off at the people minding their own business. ]

Sorry.

[She hasn't had anyone this close to her disappear like this, but she had a feeling the moment she couldn't find her. She just didn't want to believe it.... She wanted to believe that Rue was still somewhere around here.]

It's... okay... She's better off back home... That way she can finally be happy.

[Her voice is shaky and even if her words are positive, she can't help but feel miserable.]

[ He'd wondered that when Caius left. Hadn't he asked it too? If he would be happier back home... but it didn't matter either way. There was no choice in their hands for bringing him back if the answer was no.

He tilts his head to Duck, resting it against his shoulder. ]

She had someone who cared about her while she was here. [ He pauses, just for a beat. ] Even if I wasn't happy, I would have appreciated that.

Yes, of course. She's my best friend and she has Mytho too. All I can do is wish for her happiness and she wouldn't have to deal the hardships anymore.

But I.... I was hoping she would be able to help with Mytho. I guess It'll just be up to Fakir and me...

You've got other friends too, right? [ He hovers out a hand, but then sits it back down on his knee. ] If you ever need help, just ask me. You've got me and my pokémon when it comes to me.

Of course, but not everyone is.... really in on what's going on for reasons.

[But she had her other friends that she could rely on too for other things.]

But thank you for your help. I know I can count on you and the others too.

Hmm... as long as you know that. [ Because hey, he wasn't about to bug her about things that were none of his business.

But he pat his knees next, then leans slightly in her direction. ]

I know you're sad now, but sitting out here isn't going to help. It's pretty cold, and the last thing you wanna get is a cold. So do you wanna go somewhere? Or if you don't want to go home right now, I can take you where I'm staying and make you a drink. I can make a cup of tea.

[ He nods his head to himself, decided. ] I'm not leaving you until you're feeling better or warmed up. Both would be pretty great.

[She hadn't been able to talk to Rue as much as she'd liked lately, which made her feel even worse, but at least she was home now. Or mallynapped. it was hard to say right now. She'd just have to figure something else out later. Letting out a sniffle, she rubbed her eyes.]

Okay.

[All that she managed, but she's not in the mood to really put up much of a fight and he was trying to cheer her up.]

[ Hey, he'll take that. ]

Alright- sounds like permission to me. Right Pikachu?

[ The pokémon squeaks, and Red gets up by his knees, wiping his hands off at his sides before offering one to Duck. ]

I'll take you to mine. It's not far - we've got some snacks too if you're up for one. I can talk your ears off too about pokémon or somethin' if you want me to.

[He knows. Somehow, he knows. Framed between two trees, he watches Duck flitter here and there, searching in vain.

What does he feel? Regret, sorrow, loneliness? All those negative emotions well up within him, tickling the raven's appetite.

Eventually, he calls out plainly.]

She's gone. Isn't it obvious?

N-No, I haven't seen anyone like that around... I mean, at least not recently. I think.

[Wow this girl looks really stressed out. Just how long has she been running around asking people where her friend is?]

How long has she been missing?

[Crystal's surprised -- not every day you see someone running around like a pidgey that's lost its head after all -- and she shares a glance with her Meganium. Black wavy hair and red eyes, really pretty...?]

Sorry. [And she really means it.] Is she your friend?

[Duck being flaily isn't an unusual sight, so Emil doesn't pay it all that much mind until she runs up to him to inquire about Rue's whereabouts. That brings an immediate change of tone, and he frowns a bit as he responds.]

You haven't seen Rue for a while? I know she's kind of quiet... maybe she just wanted to go off on her own for a little.

Rue?

[Souji was heading to town when he heard a girl shouting her name and found himself confronted with the redhead.]

I haven't seen her, but I know her. Is she missing?
