[The feed was turned on, but it seemed as though Duck had been too deep in thought to remember that it was on. It was quiet for a while as she looked to be rather downhearted.]

Family... I... wonder what it's like to have one....?

[Glancing up, she finally noticed the feed had been on for a while now.]

O-Oh yeah! I forgot I turned this on....

I have a question for everyone here.... I was just wondering how it would be like to have a family? I've never really had one of my own, but I imagine it would be a wonderful thing. I have so many wonderful friends that I care about, but I can't help but wonder what I'll do after I have to return to my old life....

[For most people, they can take that as is her going home from Luceti, but to those who know about her secret identity(s), she's referring to when Mytho has his heart shards back again and returns to being a duck again.]

What are your families like? Are family traditions different from other families around? I'm... just a little curious. I'd like to hear from you all.

[And with that, she slightly bows her head as if giving her respect as she turns the feed off for now.]

Well, I think family's the kind of folks that make up yer heart! It doesn't mean ya gotta be related... they're the people that help make you who you are!

Families are supposed to be a good thing, but... sometimes they're not.

[Family is still a complicated thing for Zuko.]

[Between parents that are dead due to the mistakes of an older brother, family is a touchy subject. But family is important too.]

There are two kinds of families; the kind you're born to and the kind you make. There are people I have no blood relation with but they're as close as family. But a family should be supportive, people you can count on and who care about you.

They can be a pain in the ass, but.... they can be good to have around, too. Both the family you're born to and the family you find.

[He sounds almost wistful - guess who's the youngest of five siblings he hasn't seen in a while]

I think most families have their own traditions, though some are the same.

Family is like a meal. While sometimes you may find some things not to your liking, it helps to sustain you, and ultimately you would waste away without it.

[A bit of an exhale]

That is not to say family is merely blood, deep friendships can often turn into a more familial relationship.

Annoying. If they're brothers anyhow.

Didn't have a family growing up. But watching my kids... they fight a lot some days. But they're always there to look after each other too.

Sometimes you get stuck with people you'd rather not. [He really doesn't like his father-in-law okay?] But mostly you're better off having these people around you.

[And here's a boy who can't remember any kind of family.]

I don't know. What's it like, Duck? I'd like to know...

I don't know what a family, with parents and children are like...but it always looks like it's the best thing to have.

I've lived with someone for a very long time [haha] though, and I couldn't be any happier.

Oh! You're the girl that wouldn't wake up from a week or so ago. Glad to see you finally woke up.

[Granted, she wasn't any longer laying on that bench where Sokka found her back then, but... well, he didn't know why she wouldn't wake up to begin with. Unless she was doing something Spirit World thing like Aang did, but that was probably unlikely.]

Family... yeah, it's a pretty good thing. I mean, it can be annoying sometimes, like when your sister shoves snowballs into your face and nagging on you like a mother sometimes, but... there's still love behind it, so it's alright. And my dad was pretty cool too; he was my hero growing up, and still is for the most part.

[ Sometimes he's wondered that same question himself; what it would be like to have a real family. He does occasionally try to remember what life was like when he had real parents and such but not much comes back to him as it was. Life with his foster father hadn't been too bad at all but it was nothing to having a real family and yet, there was duck here who didn't at all even know what that kind of feeling was.

Even as he turns on the video on the journal, his face is wrought with a bit of a frown before shaking his head and exhaling an inaudible sigh. ]

What are you even going on about now?

[ The tone almost sounds annoyed but there's something in his face and eyes that says otherwise, his posture relaxed for the most part. ]

It... isn't exactly the same but you have me and Karon, don't you? So don't upset yourself thinking about how it is for everyone else.

[Oh, man, is someone asking about family? Firo's so on this.]

If you've got friends that good, aren't they your family? Even if you guys can't always be together, that doesn't matter.

I come from a family of powerful magic users. I'm the littlest, and I've got two brothers and two sisters.

I didn't think I had one. But the way people talk... I think the people who always take care of me and the friends I can't remember ever not being there... I think I might have a family after all.

[ Hi Duck have both Ash and Pikachu on the screen when Ash speaks ]

I'm usually traveling so my friends and my Pokemon are all like family to me. Even when we go our separate ways. But whenever I come home my Mom is always there waiting for me and I miss her very much when I'm on my journey.

[Rue snorts. Family and family traditions?]

You already know about my family, Duck. [Maybe she didn't mean to be condescending. It happens anyway.]

I have a mom and dad back home. And my mom, is a nagger. Nothing interesting in my side.

So you didn't have any like uh... nest mates? Or nothing?

[ DON'T DUCKS LAY A LOT OF EGGS... ]

Hmm... Well, I don't remember my real family.

[A frown very briefly crosses Ven's face, and he rubs the back of his head. It's a short moment before he perks back up, placing a hand over his heart.]

But as far as I'm concerned, my best friends are the best family I could ever ask for. It doesn't matter that we're not related.

[Generally, Leia has kept from replying to the more personal messages of the residents in Luceti, both this time and the last, but being in a home with her dead birth parents and her future husband has left her very open to the more emotional side that she tries to keep in check.]

I cannot speak for others, but my family is complicated. I was adopted shortly after my birth by a wonderful couple, who loved me as if I was their own child.

[Truly, no one could have asked for better parents than Bail and Breha Organa.]

My aunts, on the other hand, were rather overbearing, but they loved me as well.

My family is wonderful. It's just me, my dad, and my mom, but despite it being small, I love it very, very much. My mom and dad are always so fun to be around, and they care for each other and me a lot. Being in Luceti makes me miss them an awful lot though...

I had a family back at home... or at least, I thought I did. It turns out they weren't really my family at all. I'm still not sure how I feel about that. I mean, they were pretty terrible to me most of the time, but I want to believe that they still cared about me even despite all of that.

I don't know. I guess it's not this complicated for most people.

My family's pretty great. [Luke smiles a sad, distant smile.] I miss them a lot. When I got here I was pretty mad at my dad...but I think things'll work out now, when I get to go home.
