[Duck has been quite a busy girl for the past few days. Upon learning about what exactly Valentines day entailed, she decided that she wanted to do something for it. While there wasn't anybody here that she had a "crush" on, she certain had made a lot of friends here. She wanted to make something for them too. The only problem was.... she didn't exactly know how to bake that well. She had started to practice for the sake of working in the bakery with Aang, but she had to redo her stuff a few times.

As she was in the middle of the fifth time of try to make chocolate hearts, the communicator ended up turning on as she tried to look for the recipe she was using. She didn't seem to speak much, but she was fast at work in the kitchen working on molding the chocolate. The kitchen has flour and all sorts of things everywhere as she's cooking. She'll clean it all up later. suddenly one of the bigger hearts snapped in half.]

Ugh! Maybe I should do something else....? I didn't think chocolate would be this hard....

[Going to look back at the recipe with no idea that it was on... You suddenly see mostly just her face.]

What else would work though? I need to get better....

[OOC: Feel free to bug her as she figures out how to make her chocolate... and has no idea that her journal has been on this entire time. She'll pretty much have something for the people she's spoken to enough. If you're a cast mate or a good friend of hers, she's trying to make bigger hearts for you.]

[It took her a while for her to realize she'd heard something. Once she did, she glanced back to the journal.]

Oh! Mytho! What do you-- [and then she looked to the side.] Oh! Well... the chocolate broke so I have to redo it. It's okay though! I'll get it!

You will? You can restore your heart, Duck? Even... without Princess Tutu?

Oh um... This isn't a real heart. It's chocolate. I was told that people gave the people they cared about chocolate for Valentine's Day.

It's not...? Then, Duck, where is your real heart?

I see. A gift to express affection... [He can remember asking about that. He had to know Tutu's feelings.]

[It was quite the treat, being able to watch someone make chocolate right in front of her like this. Or right in front of her on her journal anyway. Hearing Duck wonder if she should try making something else though is enough to make Erica quickly grab her journal and shout into it.]

Uhm! Please don't give up on your chocolate! I have faith you'll be able to make something really delicious if you try again, miss chocolatier.

[Not expecting to have people watching her, the sudden shout made her jump back.]

[Having someone cheer her one was definitely a boast. At least she was able to keep from quacking.]

Yes, I really do! Next time I know you will get it right... And that you won't allow all the chocolate you've made to go to waste.

[It just wouldn't be right to lose all that wonderful looking chocolate! Of course Duck should keep trying, but that chocolate.]

Oh, well... I don't know how much of it is good enough.

So I've realized.... Ah! That would be nice. I wanted to make my friends something for Valentine's day.

Oh, wow, homemade chocolate for Valentine's... I can't think of a better gift to give. Let's make sure they get the best chocolate! [He smiles reassuringly for the camera, then tilts his head as if that'll give him a better view of the room.] Is the recipe somewhere around there? It'll be easier if I see what you're working with.

[And with his words of encouragement, she's determined again.]

[She'll look around for the one that she had, but with all the mess and clutter, it takes her a while. She just hopes that Sheena won't mind. She'll clean up her mess when she's done.]

Are you trying to make it from scratch? Don't worry, it can be hard to know when it's ready if this is the first time you've ever tried it. It takes practice to get it right, just like anything else.
