[Once upon a time, there was a beautiful baby girl.

She was beloved by all. There were seven fairy godmothers who presented the infant with a gift. Offering beauty, wit, grace, dance, song, and music to the baby girl, all of those had been wonderful gifts. However one bad witch – who was still angry at being overlooked – presented the infant with her own gift. Placing the infant under an enchantment, the princess would prick her hand on a spindle and eventually die. Luckily one fairy still had her gift, using it to save the infant. However even with her gift to save the infant, the princess would fall into a deep sleep for 100 years; The only way to save the princess was true love’s kiss.

Will such a time come? Or will the princess be doomed to sleep for a century?

If you know Duck, you might notice how she's been missing for a while. It wasn't until she seemed to be dropped out of no where when her journal turned on. It tumbled around until you saw a little bit of her and mostly the scenery around her. She didn't seem to budge much, but all around there were a lot of trees and flowers here and there. Being left in the forest by the Malnosso, she didn't seem to budge at all.

Every now and then you saw animals go by here and there, but Duck never moved an inch. It wasn't much longer until the journal simply shut off on it's own.]

[OOC: For those who haven't noticed my absence, Duck has been mallynapped and won't wake until her "prince charming" shows up to wake her up. This is meant to be backdated maybe to the first, so I apologize for how late this post is. Feel free to search for her and find her in the forest.]

[It's an ordinary day, and Sokka is wandering about the town. And somewhere in town, Sokka comes across a sleeping girl just lying somewhere outside. Sokka has a tune in his head and is enjoying the day, almost missing the girl sleeping there, until he pauses in place, quickly looks to the sleeping Duck, and then double takes.

He looks at her oddly and tiptoes over toward her. Ordinarily, Sokka wouldn't have paid too much mind to someone sleeping outdoors; after all, Team Avatar had done so quite regularly in their ways. However there were plenty of beds to be had and rooms to be taken, and this guy preferred to sleep on a nice fluffy mattress than a hard rock any day of the week.

Maybe she was ill? Sick? She could be taking a nap?

Sokka looks into her still closed eyes and then waves a hand in front of them, as if to verify the fact.]

Uh, hello, girl? You okay?

[This wasn't exactly where she would usually sleep, but there she was, sleeping on a bench. She would have answered if she wasn't in a deep sleep.]

[Well, Sokka would hope that that would be obvious. Not many people would just sleep outside ~~unless they were on an adventure or being chased by the Fire Nation~~ by choice. At least on purpose.

Sokka shakes the girl a little bit when she doesn't respond, gently at first then a little more aggressively. Her being asleep here probably wasn't something she intended, so he's going to try to wake her up.]

Hey, y... you, wake up! You should go home and sleep.

[~~There was that too..~~

Even with him trying harder, she sitll didn't even budge an inch (on her own). She was clearly breathing just fine while sleeping, but over all unresponsive.]

[Wow. Waking this girl up was worse than waking HIM up. He puts a finger to his chin, in contemplating.]

Well, you clearly aren't dead. And I don't know how you wouldn't wake up, even to that. You're either a really deep sleeper... or, odds are, this is just one more weird thing about this weird place. Go figure.

[He rolls his eyes. ~~Not that Duck would see that though!~~]

You at least look peaceful though. And I don't... think... someone will attack you here?

[He'll be back later to check up!]

[He may have to do that.... She should be up by then?]

[And so it is done!

MEANWHILE... AN INDETERMINATE AMOUNT OF TIME LATER...

Sokka has run through some of the necessary errands that he's been doing in the village. Though he's bogged down with a package or an item every now and again, he makes a special point to stop back to check on the girl, always finding her still ever so fast asleep. Gee, what is with her? Every other time or so, he'll actually try kicking the underneath of the bench or nudge her with his foot to try to wake her up, but nothing. None of it works.

But ultimately, after all his errands are done, he comes back one more time. Maybe this time will be different?]
