[When the feed turns on, you can see Duck looking a little uncertain. She didn't really seem sad as much as she just didn't seem to know what to do. There were a few minutes where she simply looked at the journal as if trying to figure out what to say.]

Uhm... So I have a question for everyone....

What do you do when you like somebody...? Like... not just like somebody like friends but... more than that...?

[And there her cheeks turn a light red.]

I-I mean... I guess it's not that big of a deal but...

[And then she fumbled to shut it off. Feel free to bug her anyways. Also, she doesn't know she can filter this stuff from people, so have fun with that.]

Oh, well that's good! It's really bad when people are stuck with it.

[And then she goes silent for a moment. She should just get it over with. Rip the band-aid. She was so nervous as to what he would say, but... the others had a point. Even if he didn't feel the same way, at least it would be off of her chest, but this was hardly the way to do it.]

Rin... Are you free right now? Would it be possible to meet up...?

Uh...? Sure? You wanna talk about it or something?

Okay, sure... I gotta get back to work after that though probably.

[ Unless it's super important though. We'll see. Either way, he gets up and closes the book to head to the middle of the square and the fountain ]

[It takes a little longer for Duck because she's coming from her house, but she makes it shortly after, looking incredibly nervous.]

Rin...

Yeah? What's up? [ He looks (and sounds) concerned when she arrives. Do they need to go somewhere private or something? He's not sure if they do, but now he's been waiting a bit his rather chipper and teasing mood had faded a bit ]

[That might be more desirable.]

I've been thinking lately.... I've been trying to figure out what's been going on with my feelings lately...

After thinking about it more... I think finally understand.

[ Wow this is starting to feel awkward. she wonders why she's telling him. And should he like tell them to go somewhere private but. His tail droops and he looks somewhere between confused and concerned. ]

[She didn't expect him to know, to be honest. But the fountain was sounding to be more and more inappropriate to do this at. So excuse her pulling you along by your hand, she heads to a more private area. Once she's found a place that a little more private.]

Rin I... [say it....] I finally realize why I've been feeling so weird...

[IT'S FINALLY OUT!]

B-but i-if you don't feel the same... I-It's really okay! Quack!

[Welp, so much for doing this without quacking up.]

[ Wow that got weird... And because it got weird he ended up flushed a bit as he was lead somewhere private. This is making it sort of... Yeah. Flushed up, he ends up not sure what he should be thinking ]

[ And then she starts to say and---

Wait you- for real, I-- What?!

[ And then she's a Duck. Wait what? His eyes are wide and he looks down at her, somewhere between flushed and pale. Mostly pale now ]

[Welp.... choices for water.... The fountain wasn't too far but uh..... It was pretty public. So running off with her clothing, she eventually found water and changed back.

She was sort of hesitant about coming back, but she had to know. She had to know what he felt. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out.]

I-I'm sorry..

[ The fact that she did just leave like that puts him in a weird position. Does he linger here, does he try to follow her? She's surprisingly fast as a duck and he doesn't want to make her see her naked, so he instead just comes out of the alley and... puts his hands in his pockets, looking thoughtful. He frowns, and debates just going back to the kitchen. He doesn't though, instead just waiting for her. And... ]

Why're you apologizin'.

[Why was she...? That was a good question. It was the first thing that came to mind.]

I... I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable. It's okay if you don't feel the same. I just... had to say it.

[Why would Rin possibly like Duck the same way she liked him anyways. According to Duck, she wasn't anything special.]

That's a dumb reason to be apologizing. [ Even if it kinda works (no it is a legit reason, but... Rin doesn't want to hear it right now. He frowns a little deeper, not sure what to say here. Hmmmph ]

I'm sorry.

[Oops. There she goes again.]

Hey, just ... [ Ugh. He reaches out and pats her on top of her head. Trying to make her cool ] Calm down about it, if you can.

I'm okay... I'm just.. I don't know what to do.

I like you Rin.. a lot. But it's okay if you don't feel the same. I just... I want to at least be able to stay by your side.

[It wasn't as hard as the first time since it was already out.]

[ Oh jeez.. He huffs, starts to say something, and then furiously itches at the side of his head, messing up his air. What should he even say here? He doesn't want to be that guy. Again. He really doesn't... ] Uh... Well I guess I don't, not right now.

[Oh... That was definitely a no. It's not like Duck expected much in the first place, but it still hurt. So fighting her own grief, she put on a fake smile to try to be strong.]

That's okay. It's okay if you don't feel the same. I'll be here for you, not matter what. Can we at least still be friends?

[She didn't want to ruin that at least.]
